Mr. Willie Horden Castile, was born September 25, 1925 in North, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Willie Castile, Sr. and Mazalene Castile. He departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at Aiken Regional Hospital in Aiken, South Carolina.
“Tang” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County. Mr. Castile was a Veteran of the U. S. Army having served in World War II. He was employed at CSX Railroad for many years, and retired after thirty years of dedicated service.
Mr. Castile was a faithful and dedicated member of Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee and President and Leader of the Jubilee Choir. Mr. Castile loved to sing praises to God and spread his love for Jesus through his music as a member of the Southern Gospel Singers, where he served President and Leader.
Mr. Castile was also preceded in death by a brother, Mannie J. Castile; and two sisters, Willie Mae Livingston and Roella Ross.
Those left to cherish Mr. Castile’s warm and precious memories are his loving and devoted wife, Rosa Castile of the home; three (3) sons, Willie Castile III, John Castile and Reggie (Stephanie) Jackson; two (2) daughters, Vanessa Castile and Jenne\9fer Watson; two (2) step-daughters, Debra Wood and Cartika Sumter; one foster son, Colby Taylor; one loving brother, Isaac (Geralene) Castile; two (2) loving sand caring sisters, Maxine Glover and Esther Thompson; five sisters-in-law; Sallie James, Beatrice Rumph, Martha Hunter, Catherine Castile and Ojetta Johnson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom join with the family in sharing the grief caused by his departure.
